Nature inspires me and also trying new ideas and themes.
Have been painting since the '90s, but drawing since childhood and a self taught artist, under my artist name AmirA.

I worked as a Draughtsmen for years and then decided to take up my art as it's my passion. I am a mother, a wife and artist here in sunny South Africa.

I love to paint wildlife animals, like the Big Five and especially the rhinos and cat family, etc. I use a lot of time for detail with my animals. They must come to life when I am done. Birds are another species I love to paint as well. My animals are mainly in oils or acrylics. Oils gives more depth, especially when painting portraits.

Landscapes and still life, also another area I work in.

Computer art, is also a big love where I render art in 2d and 3d formats. Some of my designs, I do paint as well.

I don't use any outside influence on my creativity. This is why I have been able to create a style that is truly unique and recognizable as my own, with my surreal and abstract works.
